Our office has served the local community since 1890, and has assisted generations of families within Teddington and the surrounding areas with their property requirements. The Managing Director of the company, Roderick Gerrard, joined Milestones in 1975 and has worked in the borough as an estate agent for some 45 years. In addition to our well established sales team our lettings department is headed by Barbara Shackel and with over 20 years of experience in dealing with rental properties you are in safe hands.

Set on a bold corner position in the centre of the High Street our prominent window displays always attract significant attention. Our sales details are individually prepared for each property including floorplans, internal photographs and an honest description. In addition to our own website we reach a world-wide audience via Rightmove, Zoopla, Primelocation, MoveTo, Propertylive and many other portals. This ensures the most extensive coverage possible and, together with our full page advertising in the local MoveTo property paper, we generate significant interest in our client’s properties leading to faster sales and lettings.

Inspections are accompanied by knowledgeable trained staff and our special "open-house" viewing days are a great success, much appreciated by our clients and potential buyers alike. Our branches at Teddington, Twickenham and Whitton and membership of The Association of Richmond Independent Estate Agents (ARIEA) enables us to provide a comprehensive coverage of the entire borough.

Fees

BEFORE YOU MOVE IN:

Set up fee - £400.00 (plus VAT) for up to two tenants

Referencing up to two tenants (identity, immigration and visa confirmation, financial credit checks, obtaining references from current or previous employers / landlords and any other relevant information to assess affordability) as well as contract negotiation (amending and agreeing terms) and arranging the tenancy and agreement

Additional Tenant Fee - £60.00 (inc VAT) per tenant

Processing the application, associated paperwork and referencing

Guarantor Fee - £60.00 (inc VAT) per guarantor (if required)

Covering credit referencing and preparing a Deed of Guarantee as part of the Tenancy Agreement

Permitted Occupier Fee - £25.00 (plus VAT) per permitted occupier

Explaining to any permitted occupier their rights and responsibilities towards the named tenant(s) and landlord as well as the provision of documentary guidance and assistance during the tenancy

Pet Deposit - Returnable additional Security

Deposit of two weeks rent. To cover the added risk of property damage. This will be protected with your security deposit in a Government-authorised scheme and may be returned at the end of the tenancy


DURING YOUR TENANCY:

Amendment Fee - £50.00 (plus VAT)

Contract negotiation, amending terms and updating your tenancy agreement during your tenancy

Renewal Fee (tenant’s share) - £50.00 (plus VAT)

Contract negotiation, amending and updating terms and arranging a further tenancy and agreement


ENDING YOUR TENANCY:

Check out Fee (tenant’s share) - dependant on size of property

Future Landlord Reference Fee - £0 (inc VAT) per reference request

Collating information and preparing a reference for a future landlord or letting agent

Unpaid Rent / Returned Payments - Interest at 8% above Bank of England Base Rate from date due
